re:virtual - innovation in AI and the Metaverse co-funded by the EU
We are moving forward with one of our most ambitious projects to date: re:virtual — a fully immersive platform for planning and delivering virtual and hybrid business events, conferences, and expos in the Metaverse.
This project is being co-funded by the European Union as part of a broader push to explore the application of Artificial Intelligence and immersive technologies in real-world scenarios.
What is re:virtual?
re:virtual is designed to remove the complexity from running digital and hybrid events. It gives organizers — no matter the size of their event — a smooth and professional way to bring participants together in immersive 3D environments.
Thanks to its direct integration with existing event management systems like run.events, all standard planning workflows are fully supported, just in a more powerful and flexible virtual format.
What makes it different?
This platform introduces several key innovations:
- AI-supported scalability to handle events with high attendee numbers
- AI-driven functions built around actual organizer needs — from smart registration workflows to automated volume control in panels and Q&A
- User-friendly self-service tools
- Hybrid-ready technical solutions that work in the real world
- Lifelike virtual spaces that finally make spontaneous networking feel natural
Forget passive webcam fatigue. re:virtual lets attendees walk through virtual halls, join sessions, chat with sponsors, ask questions in real time, or bump into someone they haven’t seen in years — all through high-quality, customizable avatars.
What’s next?
Development is in full swing. We’ll be sharing more about re:virtual as the project progresses — including technical previews, pilot events, and integration paths for existing run.events customers.
Yes, this is ambitious. And yes, we’re building it.
Welcome to the next chapter in event technology.
